Mr. Archer, a retired Marine Judge Advocate and current Director of Legal Assistance for Marine Corps Installations in the Southeast US will provide
an overview of unique vulnerabilities of military personnel, and resources
available to them and their advocates, such as legal assistance services,
the US Department of Justice Servicemember's and Veteran's Initiative, the
NC Commanders' Counsel, and the Armed Forces Disciplinary Control Board.
Mr. Archer will also provide an overview of some of the more important
statutes, such as the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act and the Military
Lending Act.
